AusPost Price Updates - July 2026

Australia Post's annual price review is taking effect on July 1st, here’s everything you need to know and how it may affect your business.

Domestic Shipping

The domestic shipping rates for Parcel Post and Express Post are going up by an average of 4.95%, which applies across prepaid, flat rate, and other packaging.

You can see the full list of updated prices for sending domestic here.

If you are using your own packaging, like a HeapsGood Ecomailer or Mailing Box, the updated postage rates for Parcel Post and Express Post are as follows:

MyPost Business

If you are a MyPost Business customer, don't fret. You will still get the same discounts as before, just be aware that the base shipping rate will increase with these changes.

Prices will increase for those MyPost Business customers using the pickup service to the following:

On Demand Delivery

Coinciding with the rate increase, AusPosts' On Demand delivery service will be expanding across 350+ new suburbs and 65+ new postcodes across QLD, VIC, NSW, TAS, and ACT. Collections will also be available from the Sunshine Coast as well. You can find out more information about this here

Fuel Surcharges

Fuel surcharges for AusPost Domestic and StarTrack Courier will be dropping from 19.5% down to 12.3%. Startrack Express and Premium services will also drop their fuel surcharge from 30.2% down to 23%. This means a bit of extra cash back into your pocket!

AusPost Contract Holders

For high volume shippers who have a contract with AusPost, an increase of around 4.25% will be applied to StarTrack service rates in accordance with these updates. However, it is best to contact your AusPost rep for any further information about your contract.

International Shipping

The price for sending international parcels and letters will increase by an average of 3.75%. The actual prices of these rates depend on the size and weight of your package, alongside the zone you are shipping to. View the full list of increased international rates here

The biggest update to International shippers are the updates to the CN22/CN23 customs forms. The 'reason for export' categories will be updated as follows:

  • 'Gift' will be replaced with 'Gift (Non-commercial)'
  • 'Merchandise' will be replaced with 'Ecommerce goods (B2C)'
  • 'Commercial sample' will be replaced with 'Commercial sale of goods (B2B)', which should be selected for goods exported as part of a business transaction, whether or not they are sold for money.

As well as this, for anyone using International Express, services or shipping under 2kgs have been updated to align with AusPost's standard product, meaning it will now be charged to the nearest 10g.
